By downloading or using Bubblebook, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. If you are a parent or guardian downloading Bubblebook for a child, you agree to these terms on the child's behalf.
Bubblebook is a daily reading app for children ages 5–10. Each day, the child pops 5 bubbles to collect words. Those words are sent to an AI service to generate a unique personalized short story. The child reads the story and can tap any word to hear it spoken aloud.
Bubblebook is intended for children ages 5–10, used under parental supervision. By using the app, you represent that you are a parent or guardian, or that you have parental consent to use the app.
Stories are generated by an AI language model (Anthropic's Claude). While we prompt the AI to produce age-appropriate, wholesome content, AI-generated stories may occasionally contain unexpected phrasing. We review and refine our prompts regularly, but we cannot guarantee every story will meet your expectations. If you encounter inappropriate content, please contact us.
Bubblebook requires a paid subscription. A free trial period may be offered to new subscribers. After the trial, your subscription automatically renews at the applicable rate unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Each child profile requires its own subscription tier. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
Bubblebook does not require accounts, logins, or personal information beyond a first name and age for story personalization.
Stories and session data are stored locally on your device. To generate stories, we send collected words along with the child's first name, age, and character description to an AI service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Bubblebook on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the usage rules of the App Store.
If you downloaded Bubblebook from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and Bubblebook only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty for the app. Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Bubblebook, including its name, logo, design, and code, is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bubblebook is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Bubblebook. Our total aggregate liability is limited to fifty US dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
Informal Resolution First: Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at hi@bubblebook.co and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of Bubblebook after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
You can stop using Bubblebook at any time by deleting the app. We may discontinue the app or restrict access if you violate these terms.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Bubblebook regarding use of the app.
